What would the Grammys be without at least five different tributes to a legendary artist? Last night, they put together a tribute featuring Jennifer Hudson (love), Florence Welsh (adore) and Christina Aguilera (meh.) which concluded with a five woman vocal-run-off and Xtina falling on her ass trying to get off the stage.
It hasn’t been a good week for Christina Aguilera. The singer, who famously flubbed the lyrics to the National Anthem at last week’s Super Bowl, performed in a tribute to R&B legend Aretha Franklin with four other singers on Sunday. She executed the song “Ain’t No Way” without any hiccups, but when she was leaving the stage, she fell down — literally. SOURCE
I know what you’re thinking: Don’t they have people on-hand to assist with helping divas around the show? Well, there was a tiny bit of miscommunication backstage …
Stage Manager: All right, they’re done. Would someone help get Christina Aguilera off?
*Every single stage hand commits suicide*
Stage Manager: I meant help get her off the stage.
*Rim-shot!*
