Because who isn’t these days, Chloë Sevigny is joining the cast of American Horror Story, where she’s set to play a raging nymphomaniac. She joins a cast which now includes Jessica Lange, Zachary Quinto, Adam Levine, Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, Evan Peters, Cookie Monster, Matt Lauer, Amy Schumer, Daniel Day-Lewis‘ left foot, Super Mario, the first Darren from Bewitched, a confused gnome, Matthew Rush, two-thirds of Paul Reubens, a plate of blueberry waffles, the Aflac duck, plus the entire cast of the original production of Annie Get Your Gun. Did I miss anyone? Via Entertainment Weekly:
Season two of the FX hit American Horror Storyis shaping up to be even wilder than season one. Case in point: EW has learned exclusively that Big Love‘s Chloë Sevigny is in final talks to join the second season, set to begin production this summer. Sevigny will play a character named Shelly the Nymphomaniac, who is one of the mortal enemies of Jessica Lange’s character. Basically, prepare yourself for Lange vs. Sevigny! The writers and producers of AHS were such fans of Sevigny that they wrote the part with her in mind.
Wow, and to think: I was given the premise of Chloë playing a nymphomaniac and I didn’t even make a reference to that time she blew that guy (strange but oddly hot Vincent Gallo) in the 2003 indie film The Brown Bunny. Man, I dropped the ball on that one. I apologize.
