Hey, have you heard this song named “Call Me Maybe”? Of course you have. It’s everywhere. I remember hearing it a few months back on the radio and thought “Oh, well this is a cute song. But it’s Canadian, so …” And then the song made it onto Gawker, and I was like “Oh, shit, this is going to get really big soon, huh?” And then it became the unstoppable pop monster that simply will not die. And even worse: Carly Rae Jepsen never even gave a guy her number. MY ENTIRE LIFE IS A LIE! Via Huffington Post:

Jepsen: I’ve done brave things for love before or for the possibility of the idea of love, but I’ve never quite done that and I’m pretty sure now that I never can because that would be really, really awkward.
What? How has she never given a guy her number? Even I’ve done it before, and I have the social grace of an over-zealous puppy. And can you believe he didn’t even call? He was the one who started it! Unless he thought pulling out his cell phone and showing me pictures of him nude was a formality. Toronto is a weird place to live.
