thanks to my pal – the lovely agent bedhead (we’re so planning to run off and get married one day – in a romantic ceremony inspired by cabaret … green nail polish for everyone – we insist upon it!) i was clued in on the brand new lars von trier film antichrist – starring willem dafoe and charlotte gainsborough as grieving parents – which just premiered over in france at the cannes film festival – mr. von trier happens to responsible for one of my favorite movies ever (even though it’s majorly depressing) dancer in the dark starring the brilliant musical oddball björk – he’s an amazing director – even though it sounds like the film might be getting a reputation worse than mega hottie vincent gallo‘s disastrous film the brown bunny which also premiered at the cannes film festival (now it’s mainly infamous for the onscreen blowjob given to a sizable mr. gallo by chloë sevigny) you’ve got to watch the freaky trailer below – even though antichrist might be awful – my curiosity has been peaked – plus it marks the 2nd time mr. dafoe has starred in a film with the word ‘christ’ in it – the first being another favorite film of mine the last temptation of christ which if you haven’t seen – it’s one film to definitely check out (barbara hershey kicks serious ass!) that film also had major controversy surrounding it! popbytes over & out for tonight … xoxo
