All right, this one is a bit confusing, so let’s see if we can’t try and make this as simple as we can: Alex Pettyfer and his thankful penis have just been cast in the new Steven Soderbergh movie about Channing Tatum‘s male stripper days. So far so good? Awesome. Here’s where it gets confusing: Alex will be playing Channing, while Channing will be playing an older version of Channing who mentors Alex, who is playing a younger Channing and … GAH. I THINK I JUST PULLED A CEREBRAL CORTEX.
Pettyfer, who is coming off a starring role in I Am Number Four, will play a young stripper — a character based on the experiences of Channing Tatum, who stripped before his career as an actor launched. The comedy is slated to begin production in August in Los Angeles. Tatum, 31, has said that he stripped for nearly a year when he was 18 to make ends meet. The actor, who is also producing, will appear as the titular character — a mentor to the dancer played by 21-year-old Pettyfer. SOURCE
OMG, I thought this was supposed to be a movie about male strippers, but no! Apparently this is some sort of movie about magical penises that somehow go back in time to teach their younger penis selves … something. I don’t know. This all just sounds a bit like Back to the Future, if Marty McFly had been flashing his penis for money.
