This is the second time within a year Adele has canceled a U.S. tour. This past June she canceled her last nine tour dates due to laryngitis, this time she’s canceled a complete leg; citing internal hemorrhaging near her vocal chords as the cause. The condition isn’t painful though there is no alternative but rest. It isn’t an uncommon condition for singers either, they’re especially at high risk for such a condition because of how frequently and to the degree they use their voices. Though her stunning album 21 is still dominating the charts on both sides of the pond, (to date it’s sold 10 million copies, a record for a sophomore album) illness seems to plague the crooner. This time she seems to be taking her health a little more seriously, in a public statement on her website she went on to say:
Guys, im heartbroken and worried to tell you that yet again im experiencing problems with my voice. its ridiculous i know! i cant believe it myself. i follow all the advice im given and stick to regimes, rules and practices to the best of my ability but it seems to simply not be enough. i want you to know the full story about my voice troubles so bare with me in this long blog …
