So. Cory Monteith.
I’m not going to talk about him because at this point, anything anyone says is speculation and sensationalism over someone who dies way too young and way too tragically. And for the sake of him and his girlfriend and co-star Lea Michele, as she asked via HuffPo, I’m going to respect their privacy.
Lea Michele’s team is speaking out on her behalf following the tragic death of her co-star and boyfriend, Cory Monteith. In a statement to HuffPost Celebrity, Michele’s rep says, “We ask that everyone kindly respect Lea’s privacy during this devastating time.”
Look, I know what it’s like to be in love with someone and then lose them way too early to a drug overdose. Believe me, it blindsides you, it destroys you, and it takes a long while before you can return to your senses. Even after that, it follows you around and it really doesn’t ever go away. The good news is she has a good support base of family and friends to help her through this. The bad news is she also has to go through all of this in the public eye. So with that in mind, we’re going to give her her privacy and not scrutinize her right now. (Other than this post explaining my viewpoint, but … you get the idea.) Anyway, our thoughts are with Lea, Cory plus their family and friends.
