a glamorous gwen stefani does ELLE

hey hey! i made it back safely from my trek to santa barbara (oh it’s beautiful up north) the traffic wasn’t bad at all – it only took me about an hour & forty-five minutes each way! although it was super windy on the 101 which always makes me nervous – i was all the car is going to blow off the road! oh yes – both hands on the wheel! anyways i’ve been dying to post the latest cover of ELLE magazine which features one of my favorite cool ladies – gwen stefani who is heading back on tour again soon to support her latest album (which i’m completely fucking obsessed over) the sweet escape – i can’t stop playing it!

my darling gwen managed to find time to snap some smokin’ hot pictures (i’m not sure about the shot w/ the hat though…) for the magazine as well as give us an update on what’s going on with her! i realized tonight i had a bunch of previous ms. stefani posts so i gave her a category here on popbytes which contains all of my musings on gwen! i can’t wait until she reunites with her lovely bandmates from no doubt…now there’s something to look forward to! please do stay tuned here – i have a really cool gwen post in the works…popbytes over & out for tonight – xxoo!

PS yes if i were a girl i would want to be exactly like gwen – oh my gosh she’s so damn awesome – i love her outlandish sense of style! she is the queen of cool! long live gwen stefani!

on her rise to fame: “i’ll never be as pure as i was when i wrote tragic kingdom. once you’ve had a hit, there’s no going back, because it’s so addictive. it’s a drug.”

on her marriage (to rocker gavin rossdale): i mean, of course me and gavin have problems, sometimes. everyone does. we’ve been together for over 10 years. this is, like, the real deal.”

on her new baby, kingston: “kingston is so chill. he goes with me everywhere, ’cause i’m still nursing. he’s been to every studio in l.a., new york, london […] you can go 100 miles an hour, but you still have to stop to hang out with him.”

on other people’s expectations of her: “people always say the same things. that i’m smaller than they expected and that i look better in real life. which is kind of a back-handed compliment.”

on madonna: “i remember telling madonna i was going to do an ’80s dance record, and she rolled her eyes […] she’s like, ‘whatever.'”
