please don’t forget (i will remind you again – no worries!) that our dear valerie cherish lands on DVD this coming tuesday! although HBO cancelled the show – they’ve been really nice to popbytes because of my undying love & support of ms. cherish! i got an advanced copy of the DVD (containing some great extras) which will for sure please other diehard ‘comeback’ fans like myself and for those of you who missed lisa kudrow‘s brilliant turn as a sitcom star attempting to make a successful return to TV…this is your chance! below is a hilarious clip of ms. cherish singing ‘i will survive’! hopefully ms. kudrow will pick up her much deserved emmy on aug 27th! popbytes over & out for now…xxoo!

    but in this interview they talk about the comeback’s three emmy nominations. i’m only aware of two (best actres and best direction). what is this other one?

    hey bejohnce – thanks for the link to that interview – very cool! i searched for the third nomination but i could only find two – i think perhaps they made a mistake? the DVD is awesome – you are going to totally enjoy it – i love the extras!

    The show’s 3rd nomination was awarded later. It’s for OUTSTANDING CASTING FOR A COMEDY SERIES. Kudos to Meg Liberman, Cami Patton and Elizabeth Barnes.

    i’m so excited about this casting nomination (why was it awarded later? and why can’t i find it on the official emmy website…although on that same website it says the comeback has three noms.) watching the commentary on the dvd and rethinking how PERFECTLY cast this show was makes me want to be a casting director. some of the best cast members who didn’t get that much attention: Gigi and Tom – absolutley BRILLIANT actors. But ofcourse, everyone was wonderful…
