One of the neat things about a good mashup, is it can entirely transform the vibe of the original track, depending on what music is used with the vocal. And this is just such a mashup. Seeing as my beloved B-52′s are in the middle of a veritable comeback tour (and just played here in So Cal), let’s hop in the Chrysler with their whale of a hit, “Love Shack.” Here, mashed with “Stray Cat Strut” by The Stray Cats, the perennial party tune takes on a hip and martini-soaked cocktail vibe. It’s like cool, daddy-o – real cool!
