The last funny person on SNL to be honored!

Tina Fey, who was pretty much the last talented or funny person on Saturday Night Live, will be honored at The Kennedy Center with The Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. For those not in the know, this is pretty much the biggest humor prize in North America. Oh, and Betty Fucking White will be giving it to her. Suck on that, Sarah Palin.

Betty White will join SNL comics and alumni Fred Armisen, Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers and show creator Lorne Michaels in awarding Tina Fey the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor on Nov. 9. They’ll join top entertainers, including Steve Martin, singer and actress Jennifer Hudson and actor Jon Hamm. SOURCE

I honestly can’t think of anyone who deserves it more right now than Tina Fey. Let’s face it: Comedy is a predominantly male area, and she’s managed to become one of, if not the, biggest name in comedy. So good for her, way to kick the shit out of that glass ceiling.
