The 2013 MTV Movie Awards’ Winners

The 2013 MTV Movie Awards

The 2013 MTV Movie Awards

After years of living under the oppression of Twilight‘s reign, The 2013 MTV Movie Awards finally had a mostly vampire-free ceremony yesterday, with the bulk of the awards going to The Avengers and Silver Linings Playbook. Granted, they gave one award to Twilight, but it was a fake award that doesn’t count for anything, sort of like the Twilight movies themselves.

  • Movie of the Year: The Avengers
  • Best Female Performance: Jennifer Lawrence, Silver Linings Playbook
  • Best Male Performance: Bradley Cooper, Silver Linings Playbook
  • Breakthrough Performance: Rebel Wilson, Pitch Perfect
  • Best On-Screen Duo: Mark Wahlberg and Seth MacFarlane, Ted
  • Best Hero: Bilbo Baggins, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
  • Best Villain: Tom Hiddleston, The Avengers
  • Best Fight: The Avengers vs. Loki, The Avengers
  • Best Kiss: Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper, Silver Linings Playbook
  • Best Musical Moment: Pitch Perfect
  • Best Scared-as-Sh!t Performance: Suraj Sharma, Life of Pi
  • Best WTF Moment: Django Unchained
  • Best Shirtless Performance: Taylor Lautner, Breaking Dawn Part 2

You have to love how MTV was basically just like, “Well, teenagers like you for some stupid reason, so I guess we’ll give you the least important award we can think of … oh hey, someone was shirtless in your movie? Terrific, here’s your award. Never darken our doorstep again with your crappy movies.”
