Taylor Swift’s ‘Red’ is on track to sell a million copies!

Taylor Swift - Red

Because you should never doubt the buying power of boy-crazy teenage girls (isn’t that right, Justin Bieber?) superstar Taylor Swift‘s new album, Red, is already well on its way to sell one million copies in its first week, which I’m sure all her famous ex-boyfriends must love. A/V Club reports …

When Mumford & Sons sold 600,000 copies in one week earlier this month, it seemed like kind of a big deal. But now Taylor Swift is set to surpass those totals with her new album, Red. According to Hits Daily Double, early estimates put her on track to sell a million copies in the album’s first week of release. According to sources at Swift’s label, her first-day sales alone topped 262,000. Add that to the 4.5 million tracks sold on iTunes before the record even came out, and Swift is looking at a pretty substantial payday.

The thing with Taylor is, yes, she’s talented, she has a nice voice, and she can actually play her own instruments, so I actually do appreciate her work. But at the same time, bitch, you’re 22 and you’re a millionaire. Why are you still writing songs about your exes? Seriously, you’re allowing your life to revolve around men. It’s not cute.
