Thomas Marth

Well, this sucks. Thomas Marth, whom you might remember as the saxophonist from The Killers who made Sam's Town so damn awesome, apparently shot himself on Monday. The A/V Club reports: Thomas Marth, who recorded and toured with The Killers as a saxophonist for 2008's Sam's Town and 2010's Day And Age, was found dead Monday of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at his Las Vegas home. We miss you Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes

Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes

I can't believe ten years have passed since we suddenly lost Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes, she's probably best remembered as one of the three parts that made up TLC. Their 1999 album Fanmail still has a place on my iPod, it's one of my favorite albums of all-time! Apparently Tionne 'T-Boz' Watkins and Rozonda 'Chilli' Thomas are now planning a reunion tour, I do love them both but it just won't be the same without Left Eye, yet I'd really like to seem MORE

Rest in Peace: Davy Jones

Davy Jones

I was super bummed when I heard the very sad news about onetime teen heartthrob Davy Jones (of The Monkees) passing away suddenly (he was still playing shows just a few weeks ago) at the age of 66 from a heart attack at his home down in Florida (while he was tending to his horses). Although I wasn't around during the sixties to watch the group's beloved and hilarious television show (58 episodes in total originally ran from 1966 to 1968), I MORE

Amy Winehouse: Rest In Peace

Amy Winehouse - NME Magazine

I still can't seem to get my beloved Amy Winehouse out of my head, I'm still very upset about her sudden death this past weekend, at the age of 27. Her funeral took place in London earlier today, then she was cremated, her physical being has left this world forever, but Amy's spirit and incredible talent remains. I was looking back on all my old posts about Amy, there were so many times that I talked about being worried and concerned for her MORE

My beloved Amy Winehouse, dead at age 27

Amy Winehouse

I seriously don't even where to start ... I'm totally devastated over hearing about the passing of my beloved Amy Winehouse. I first discovered the British soul singer back in 2006 by way of her incredible Grammy-winning album Back To Black, and since then there's been over seventy posts about Ms. Winehouse here on PopBytes. Many of those posts chronicled her descent into drug and alcohol addiction that in the end killed her at the age of 27. I MORE

Amy Winehouse has passed away at age 27

Amy Winehouse

Singer Amy Winehouse is dead at age 27. I don’t think that’s a surprising statement - that it happened sooner rather than later. She had immense talent, but in the later stage of her life she was clearly not sober. It may seem like I’m being insensitive to her passing, but my thoughts truly go out to her family and loved ones. What I am saying is that when someone is an addict, which there’s no arguing - she was, it isn’t surprising MORE
