Janelle Monáe "Q.U.E.E.N." (feat. Erykah Badu)

Here's the latest track from Janelle Monáe, a new single called "Q.U.E.E.N." that takes full advantage of drag lingo and features Erykah Badu. So basically, it's the best song ever and I'm going to end up hearing it a bajillion times during Pride this year. MORE

Natalie Maines

Natalie Maines of Dixie Chicks fame is gearing up for the release of her highly-anticipated solo debut album, Mother, due out May 7th via Columbia Records. I'm super stoked for this album (now available for pre-order), I've been a huge fan of Natalie and the Dixie Chicks for years now, hands down Natalie has one of the best voices around. Listen: Tegan and Sara’s “I Was A Fool”

Tegan and Sara "I Was A Fool"

Oh my gosh! I am so happy that Tegan and Sara selected "I Was A Fool" as the next single off their latest album Heartthrob (iTunes). When I saw them play here in Los Angeles a few months ago, I got to briefly meet the girls before the show and I made sure to tell them they seriously needed to release this song as a single, and that's exactly what they did! It's easily one of the best cuts off the album and I hope it becomes a massive hit. Listen MORE

We can all expect to hear a lot more from Ms. Sande, she's taking things straight to the top! MORE

DJ Earworm’s United States of Pop 2012 is here!

DJ Earworm

Every year, DJ Earworm takes the biggest pop songs of the year, grinds them down into one single song, and puts it up on the web. Once again, Earworm has capped off 2012 with his United States of Pop mashup, this time including Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Rihanna, Psy, Adele, Fun., Carly Rae Jepsen, Flo Rida, Bruno Mars, and other pop acts I haven't heard of because my testicles have dropped. Ellie Goulding - "Anything Could Happen"

Ellie Goulding just released her first single "Anything Could Happen" off of her forthcoming album Halcyon. Along with premiering the song on BBC Radio 1, she also uploaded a video on her YouTube account. It's a lyric video that uses 1200 photos that were submitted to her by fans. It basically looks like an Instagram feed. It's strange how pop music works here in the United States. Just as Ellie's single "Lights" is finally getting airplay MORE

Katy Perry is ‘Wide Awake’

Katy Perry

Hey hey! Here's a new lyric music video from Katy Perry for her latest track Wide Awake (written for her upcoming 3D film Katy Perry: Part Of Me) that appears on the special edition release, Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection. I actually love this track, and this video is quite clever using Katy's Facebook timeline to showcase the lyrics. I still remember when I couldn't stand her one bit, and now I would call myself a fan, not her hugest fan MORE

Nelly Furtado returns w/ ‘Big Hoops (Bigger The Better)’

Nelly Furtado - Big Hoops (Bigger The Better)

I was literally just talking about Canadian singer/songwriter Nelly Furtado last week, mainly about how she seriously needed to put out a new album! I've been a huge fan since 2000, when Nelly made her debut on the music scene with Whoa, Nelly!. Her last English studio album was 2006's Loose which I loved (she did release a Spanish album called Mi Plan back in 2009 along with a greatest hits disc one year later). Well, lo and behold, Ms. Furtado MORE
