Trailer: Disney’s (live-action) ‘Cinderella’

You have to give Disney credit where credit is due: They have a great understanding of their own image, and a keen awareness of how ... dated, shall we say, some of their earlier fare was. I mean yes, the Disney princess films are classics, but they're still very much aware of how much times have changed, and they're doing a lot to try and rework their formula to create better female characters. (Frozen in particular did this well, though you MORE

‘Toy Story 4′ is coming!

Toy Story 4

To be honest, when I saw Toy Story 3, I kind of assumed that it would be the final installment. How exactly do you follow up the toys facing down their own mortality in a horrible pit of fire? I mean, they lived, and they got some mini-movies and TV specials since, but that's a lot to follow up. But the good news is that not only is John Lasseter returning to direct Toy Story 4 (due out in June of 2017), but Rashida Jones and Will McCormack are MORE

Disney & Pixar are making The Incredibles 2 (and Cars 3)

The Incredibles

Good news! Almost ten years after the original, Disney and Pixar are finally working on a sequel to The Incredibles! And also Cars 3. Yes, a whole new look at one of Pixar's most beloved, memorable movies! And another turd from that series about talking cars. Time reports ... Brad Bird, who directed and wrote the original 2004 film, is now writing The Incredibles 2. Bird had previously been hesitant to continue the story of Mr. Incredible and MORE

Here’s another trailer for Disney’s ‘Maleficent’

I'm in a very weird place with Disney's Maleficent (May 30). On one hand, I love the new trailer, and I really love the direction the movie seems to be going in with the title character played by Angelina Jolie. On the other hand, the trailer's are starting to get a touch to ... showy. I'll still see the movie, no doubt about it, but it's getting to the point where they're showing too much from the movie and I'm worried that too much reveal is MORE

Lana Del Rey is featured in the new ‘Maleficent’ trailer

Lana Del Rey "Once Upon a Dream"

Another Maleficent trailer? Don't mind if I do! I know I posted a trailer for the movie a week ago, but we're going to post another one for two reasons: First, my boyfriend saw this and completely flipped his lid over how good it looked, and second it offers me a chance to talk about Lana Del Rey. All right Lana. We get it: You're into that whole ironic Americana thing that all the hipsters love, and I think that's just terrific. "Video Games" MORE

It’s the latest trailer for ‘Maleficent’

Angelina Jolie is Maleficent

Disney is really doubling down on the success of Maleficent (in theaters in May), considering how the last couple of live action movies they put out -- The Lone Ranger and the really actually pretty good John Carter -- didn't do so well. But thankfully, they're pulling out one of their most classic characters, filling out her backstory, and shading it in with some really lush visuals and a story that looks to be humanizing Maleficent a bit. Teaser Trailer: Angelina Jolie is ‘Maleficent’

Angelina Jolie is 'Maleficent'

Disney has been really banking hard on Angelina Jolie's portrayal of Maleficent, and the media has been going bonkers over it which is a good sign. Well, here's the first teaser trailer for the movie (due out on May 30,2014), and while there isn't a lot to go off of, it does look pretty amazing, and GAWDDAMN Angelina's cheekbones. LOOK AT THOSE THINGS. You could slice a brisket with those things. (I'm really hankerin' for some brisket, I'm not MORE

The first trailer for Disney’s ‘Frozen’ is here!

Disney's Frozen

Here's a first look at Disney's next movie, Frozen (opening November 27th), about a woman who goes on a journey to track down her sister so that they can stop an endless winter. As someone who's a complete sucker for Disney's princess oeuvre (I'm awful, I know) I'm going to watch this to pieces, and the fact that it's made by the same people who did Tangled and Wreck-It Ralph doesn't hurt either. MORE

Disney is finally making a ‘Finding Nemo’ sequel

Nemo and Dory

Yeah, that headline just happened. I have to go literally die of happiness because FINDING DORY. Remember me ... for my all-consuming hatred of the Kardashians ... Access Hollywood reports... “I have waited for this day for a long, long, long, long, long, long time,” Ellen DeGeneres said. “I’m not mad it took this long. I know the people at Pixar were busy creating Toy Story 16. But the time they took was worth it. The script is MORE

ABC ordered Joss Whedon’s S.H.I.E.L.D. pilot

Since The Avengers made enough money for Disney to fill an Olympic swimming pool with beluga caviar and sail across it in yachts made out of gold and mink fur, it probably shouldn't be too surprising that they're already planning on turning it into a TV show. So prepare yourselves for the best news ever, as ABC has ordered a pilot from Joss Whedon for a show called S.H.I.E.L.D., which will focus on Nick Fury's law enforcement gang. Entertainment MORE

Demi Lovato slams Disney on Twitter

Demi Lovato

If you're over the age of eighteen, chances are you don't really remember who Demi Lovato is, so I'll keep this short: used to be a Disney star, pressured to the point where she ended up snapping, beat the shit out of one of her back-up dancers, and allegedly had a slew of eating disorders, substance abuse issues and cutting. Which is pretty much what happens when you push your teenage daughter into a medium where her every move and appearance is MORE

Disney reveals new Dream Portraits!

Disney Dream Portraits

Just today the Disney Parks Blog posted new images in their Dream Portraits series done by none other than world famous photographer Annie Leibovitz. She may be better known for her editorial work for Vogue, Vanity Fair, and other fashion magazines as well as iconic images of John Lennon and Demi Moore (and those controversial photos of Miley Cyrus) but she’s been collaborating with Disney for years now to create this series. These are the MORE

Princess Ke$ha? More like whore white!

For some reason, someone allowed Ke$ha to make a Funny or Die video despite the fact that if a musician can't even sing, they probably can't tell a joke either. Anyway, a couple things I've taken away from this: First, Ke$ha looks almost pretty when she washes her hair with something other than horse semen and she doesn't look like a my Little Pony farted in her face. Second, I'm starting to think that Ke$ha might actually be four-years-old. MORE
