good morning! oh my word – this week has seriously flown by – it’s already time for the latest mashup selection from DJ paul v. – i love his choice this week – which takes one of my favorite songs ever – ‘sweet dreams (are made of this)’ – and mashes it with ‘apologize’ – a song i wasn’t so crazy about when i first heard it but eventually the song grew on me (after it was played repeatedly just about everywhere…) enjoy the track below and i’ll check you guys later – popbytes over & out for now…xoxo

Awhile back, I’d mentioned how you could mash up Dead Or Alive‘s “You Spin Me ‘Round” with just about anything, and it would sound awesome. But an even more instantly recognizable – and beloved – riff and melody from the early 80′s is absolutely the Eurythmics‘ “Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)” – and I dare you to find anyone who could honestly say, ‘Oh, I hate that song!’ Nope, it remains an instant smile factor tune the minute we hear it, thus it’s been mashed up 100′s of times, too. Here, Timbaland feat. One Republic‘s ubiquitous “Apologize” gets a fabulously danceable technopop makeover, courtesy of French bootlegger, Fissunix. Just don’t let that artwork give you nightmares!
