good morning! even though it’s wednesday – i’m going to post my ‘monday .mp3′ for this week – i’m overly thrilled & excited to finally toss up this track on popbytes! it’s girl group the shangri la’s with their hidden gem of a song sophisticated boom boom (they’ll probably be remembered most for their 60′s anthem ‘leader of the pack’) my dear mom (who also serves as an editor here on the site) had the song on a 45 vinyl record – which i simply adored as a kid (even back then i was gay) anyways this song is just so much fun – campy & cheesy! ever since i finally discovered it as an .mp3 file – i’ve played it a bunch of times – it’s a great song to act out – you’ll see what i mean when you experience the track for yourself…i should totally upload a video of me singing along but that would be way too embarrassing! popbytes over & out for now…xxoo (this track has been ‘long overdue’ here on popbytes!)
