Look, we’ve never been exactly happy with Rihanna‘s dumbass decision to go back to Chris Brown, mostly because going back to a guy who horrifically abused you never ends well for you in the long run. And yes, we’ve voiced our displeasure over it, but it’s not like we ever sat down and went, “you know what would end the cycle of physical abuse Rihanna’s trapped in? MORE PHYSICAL ABUSE!” Except someone did, because an angry fan decided to express his disapproval of her relationship by hurling a glass bottle at her over in London. Smart. Smart dude. The 3 a.m. attack outside the Box Nightclub in London marred the “Stay” singer’s after-party celebration, marking the debut of her River Island collection at London Fashion Week. Rihanna was confronted by the crazed stranger as she left the hot spot. The man, who has not been identified, began screaming at the superstar for rekindling a romance with Brown, the fellow singer who infamously beat her on the eve of the 2009 Grammy Awards. A witness said the man threw a bottle of Lucozade, a British energy drink. Rihanna fell against a metal shop grate during the mayhem and cut her right knee.
Ummmm … the hell? Look, we’re not happy about this either, but I’m pretty sure the correct way to protest her decision to see a guy who assaulted her probably isn’t by assaulting her. Chances are, eventually they’ll break up, because they’re both incredibly immature people in a toxic relationship, but in the interim? How about we try not to assault anyone.
