Remember how at the very beginning of the year, Ricky Gervais hosted the Golden Globes and everyone thought it was funny except for the room full of rich, famous, coddled celebrities he was making fun of? Well, since he’ll probably never get invited back, Ricky has taken it upon himself to do a simultaneous podcast of the event so that he can throw in his own delightfully cutting commentary throughout the evening without getting banned. A live 3 hour podcast during The Golden Globes. Me and a few chums (like Louis CK, Chris Rock, Karl Pilkington, John Stewart, Larry David popping in and out) doing our own alternative commentary. People at home can have the telly on with the sound down listening to us online say things that no broadcaster could get away with. No one could do a fucking thing. The biggest live webcast ever? Who knows? Who cares? What’s fun is the shit we might come out with. No money. No sponsor. No guide lines. Fuck me I can’t wait.

Honestly, while I think he might have held back a few punches last year (Yes, that’s right: I think Ricky’s problem was that he wasn’t mean enough, I’m weird like that) so I look forward to a completely uncensored podcast just to see how much shade he can throw on these little bitches.
