good morning everybody! oh i can’t bear today being monday – i had so much fun all weekend long playing grand theft auto 4 (hence the lack of weekend posts) it’s an amazing game – i completed a bunch of ‘missions’ (equaling about 12% of the game) and i’m already looking forward to next weekend for more game time (during the week there’s just not enough time – boo hoo!) right now i’ve got five copies of the brand new portishead album – their third studio release – simply titled third to toss out here on popbytes – the first five people to email me at mk@popbytes.com will win! i’ve loved the ‘trip-hop’ band from bristol ever since their 1994 debut album dummy – and just a few weeks ago i got to catch them rehearsing for their appearance at this year’s coachella music festival (i’m pictured below along with my pal CK) i was totally blown away – lead singer beth gibbons is fucking amazing – her live vocals were absolutely chillingly gorgeous and stunning! you can check out some of the band’s new material below – there’s three tracks posted for your listening pleasure! popbytes over & out for now…xxoo
