good morning y’all & happy friday! so right now i’m on this huge grace jones kick right now (join her on myspace) girlfriend just released her first album in nineteen years called hurricane – i picked up the import version earlier this week (i’m not sure if it will get a proper release here in the states) and it’s awesome – it’s kooky, dark, and trippy – just like ms. jones! (watch the video for her first single ‘corporate cannibal’) she’s also doing a small set of shows over in the UK – i’d simply die to see her sing in person – i think she’d be amazing! last night at ms. jones showed up to GQ magazine’s 2008 men of the year awards which were held in munich, germany – i don’t know if she stole the centerpiece off a table but she was carrying around this rather large bouquet of flowers while getting sassy with actor joseph fiennes (best known for shakespeare in love) i bet she’s a total trip to hang out with plus she still looks amazing at age 60 – long live grace jones! popbytes over & out for now…xoxo
