hey everybody! i just got back a little while ago from a very small & intimate showcase performance by nina gordon (co-founder of veruca salt) who is releasing her second solo album bleeding heart graffiti on august 8th – ms. gordon (who is glowing & pregnant at the moment) played about six new songs and i was totally impressed by her live vocal performance and heartfelt lyrics – plus she performed in this really cool lounge/bar and i enjoyed myself a nice glass of wine (actually two) and then i got to meet nina after her set – she was so sweet & gracious! of course i mentioned popbytes and told her i would help to promote her upcoming album – i am so beat from this week already but i’m so glad i mustered up the energy to go hear her tonight! as an added bonus jeff russo (of tonic) played guitar and did some backup vocals – he is really adorable! popbytes over & out for now – xxoo!
