As the Republican party slowly burns through the all the candidates who aren’t Mitt Romney (Sorry Mitt: You are their pity fuck), Romney is doing everything in his power to make it look like he isn’t a completely out of touch rich guy. Which is why he compared Barack Obama to Kim Kardashian, which is pretty much just him saying “Hey, I heard you guys like this Kim Kardashian gal? Well ha-cha-cha, so do I, my homies? Can I say ‘homies’ if I’m white? I can? Excelsior!” Us Weekly reports:

“I’ve been looking at some video clips on YouTube of President Obama — then candidate Obama — going through Iowa [in 2008] making promises,” Romney said, as excerpted by CBS News. “The gap between his promises and his performance is the largest I’ve seen, well, since the Kardashian wedding and the promise of ’til death do we part.” (Kim, 31, filed for divorce from Kris Humphries on Oct. 31 after just 72 days of marriage.)

Wait, that’s your master plan? Pointing out that Obama hasn’t upheld all his promises that he made while campaigning? I hate to break it to you, but you can put that on every politician ever. Including Mitt. But let’s focus on Kim here, because she’s awful and really easy to make fun of. Does anybody else remember when John McCain pulled the same thing with Paris Hilton in the last election? It’s nice to see Kim ripping off Paris’ “career” down to a T, which I guess means she’ll probably be another z-list nobody banished to obscurity by the end of the year.
