Miley Cyrus is really easy to hack!

Miley Cyrus

Yeah, remember how Miley Cyrus‘ email got hacked, and then a slew of racy but blessedly non-nude pictures flooded the web? Yeah, it turns out literally anyone could have leaked those, because in an email to TMZ, the hacker of Miley’s email account basically said that the only thing he needed to get into it was a quick Google search for Miley’s friends. That’s it!

A man who has been contacting TMZ for nearly two years — trying to peddle multiple celeb images, including nude pics of Scarlett Johansson — has revealed how he hacked Miley Cyrus’ Gmail account. The man says he simply went to Miley’s Gmail and tried accessing it. The prompt asked a security question … the name of one of her girlfriends. He guessed the one she’s known the longest, based on a Google search — and he scored. He says, “When I saw that, I couldn’t believe it.”

Here’s the thing: for most people, this would probably be enough because no one really cares enough to hack their email accounts so that they can wade through millions and millions of Facebook notification emails. That being said, when you’re one of the biggest names in entertainment, you may want to go with something a little harder than “what’s my best friend’s name?” Hell, even using “password” as your password would be a smarter idea (which, no joke, I used when I was fourteen because I thought it was super clever but it wasn’t). Although for further password help, you should really check out this XKCD comic because it’s pretty damn insightful.
