Michelle Obama is a Vogue cover girl again

After the rumors that Annie Leibovitz was spotted at the White House a few months ago to shoot Michelle Obama for Vogue, it was only a matter of time before we saw the First Lady on the cover.

This cover is slightly better than her 2009 cover but their art department really needs to get it together. Mrs. Obama is gorgeous and they always make her face look crooked. It’s maddening. However, that blue Reed Krakoff dress is gorgeous.

I won’t lie to you and tell you the article is interesting. She talks about parenting, her marriage, and her vision for America’s families, which just makes me fall asleep.

That’s all saved with a totally quintessential Annie Leibovitz shot of Mrs. Obama in the red room of the White house in a hunter green Michael Kors sweater and ball skirt. It’s so wonderfully elegant and everything I imagine her to be. It’s such a breath of fresh air to have a First Lady that isn’t afraid to wear something other than Oscar de la Renta (I’m looking at you, Laura Bush).

The April issue of Vogue hits newsstands on March 26th.
