good evening! earlier this evening over in london was the premiere of mamma mia! – the big screen adaptation (opening july 18th – the trailer is embedded below) of the popular broadway musical of the same name – all based on the hit songs of abba – i haven’t seen the show (you’d probably have to pay me) it doesn’t look like my type of thing at all and i can’t say that i hate abba but i find most of the band’s songs to be highly irritating (someone else out there must agree with me?!? those songs wear out oh so quickly) although i might actually have to go see the movie since i love meryl streep (who turns 60 next year) hands down one of the best actresses of our time – you certainly can’t go wrong by casting ms. streep! she’s also been consistently good over the years from early films like the deer hunter and sophie’s choice (oh and out of africa – so good!) to some of her most recent films like the devil wears prada and one of my favorite movies adaptation! tonight she first appeared on the red carpet wearing a stylish red dress (we all know she’s never been a fashion icon – far from it…) but she changed for the afterparty into a less flattering dark print type dress – i would’ve worn the red all night but that’s just me – call me crazy! i hope everyone managed to deal with monday – my day turned out to be semi-decent – better than i expected! popbytes over & out for now…xxoo
