Congrats are going out to Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon for becoming parents! Mariah finally gave birth earlier this morning to twins, a boy and a girl (still yet to be named), right here in LA. Today also happens to be the couple’s third wedding anniversary, so April 30th will go down as a big day for the family. Representative Cindy Berger said they listened Mariah’s hit song We Belong Together after the twins were born, of course Mariah would play one of her own songs, that’s hilarious to me! I bet girlfriend is craving a glass of champagne after all this and is ready to do something other than lounging out on HSN! She’s slated to be part of Simon Cowell‘s US version of The X Factor this fall, I can’t wait for that!
Carey’s representative, Cindi Berger, confirmed the births to The Associated Press. The singing superstar gave birth Saturday at 12:07 p.m. EDT at an undisclosed hospital in Los Angeles. Berger says the baby girl was born first, weighing 5 pounds, 3 ounces, and was 18 inches long; her brother was next, at 5 pounds 6 ounces, and was 19 inches.
