hey everybody! i hope you’re all enjoying the weekend so far – i’m still reeling from last night’s donna summer disco extravaganza over at the hollywood bowl (i haven’t danced like that in months) i wasn’t the biggest fan of ms. summer but after seeing her live – i’ve been obsessed all day long with ms. summer’s new album crayons (along w/ her disco classics) there’s a track called ‘the queen is back’ – that sentiment sure rang true last night!
you all know i love going to concerts and i’m beyond excited to see madonna‘s sticky & sweet tour (her 8th world tour) which kicked off tonight over at the cardiff millennium stadium over in wales (there’s plenty of info over on madonnalicious and drowned madonna) she doesn’t land in los angeles until november 6th (she’s playing dodger stadium which i’ve never been to and it’s already sold out – i have a feeling that night will be incredible) this will be the third time i’ve had the opportunity to see madonna live (i have two great seats that i probably paid way too much for – hands down the most expensive concert ever) just like last night i’m expecting to dance my ass off!
this year has totally been the year of diva concerts (i’ll do a round-up post at the end of the year) next month i’m seeing janet jackson and then in october i have tickets to see the legendary tina turner (girlfriend better sing private dancer and we don’t need another hero) and then after madge in november i’m seeing celine dion in december – i just need to take my ass to vegas to see cher and bette midler to complete my year of divas! check out the many pictures below from the first night of madonna‘s new show – i’m trying not to read all that much about the show – i’d like to be surprised at least a few times! popbytes over & out for tonight…xxoo
