Here’s the latest music video from my British darling Lily Allen for “As Long As I Got You,” which was filmed at this year’s Glastonbury Festival. The super catchy song serves as the latest single off Lily’s spectacular and brilliantly cheeky third studio album, Sheezus (iTunes)–which is easily going to be my top favorite album of 2014. However, I will say that Sia is seriously giving Ms. Allen a run for her money with the recent release of her stellar sixth studio album (that just debuted at number one) 1000 Forms of Fear (iTunes) … definitely nabbing a place on my list right behind Lily. 2014 is all about the ladies!
Lily Allen has revealed the video for her new single “As Long As I Got You,” which was filmed at this year’s Glastonbury Festival where Lily performed on the Pyramid stage, her first appearance at the festival for five years. The last time Lily played at Glastonbury was when she met her husband Sam, and the video serves as a celebratory and poignant reminder of how Lily’s life has changed so much, now that she returns to the festival with her husband and two children.
“Glastonbury has always been a huge part of my life, and I wanted to make this video there to celebrate the spirit of the festival and also to show how my life has changed since the last time I played there. From being there as a child with my Dad, to my wilder days in the 2000s, to this year when I was back on the Pyramid stage, and taking my husband and own daughters along!” – Lily Allen
