Music Video: Rising star Laura Mvula’s “That’s Alright”

Laura Mvula

I’ve been meaning to post about British soul / jazz singer-songwriter Laura Mvula (who has been compared to the likes of Joan Armatrading and Laura Nyro) ever since I discovered her incredible debut album, Sing to the Moon. She recently wrapped up a number of successful shows down at SXSW, and is coming to Los Angeles on April 16th (at the incredibly cool Bootleg Theater), I already secured my ticket since it’s bound to be sold out! Definitely watch Laura’s brand-new music video below for “That’s Alright,” which serves as the album’s official second single. Sing to the Moon already dropped in the UK last month, yet is thankfully getting a proper US release on May 14th via Columbia Records.
