No matter what side of the gun debate you’re on, I think the one thing we can all agree on is the fact that Kim Kardashian is powerfully stupid and will say or do anything for the sake of attention. That’s a pretty bipartisan statement right there. So when Kim posted a sparkly pink gun to Twitter, pretty much everyone agreed that she was an idiot and just doing it for attention. Kim Kardashian can’t resist some stylish bling — even if it’s decorating a deadly gun. The buxom Keeping Up With the Kardashians star shared an Instagram photo of a diamond-encrusted gold revolver, then quickly deleted it Saturday — but not before her millions of followers called the gun hype hypocritical. “Today, people in Newtown are making the #sandyhookpromise to reduce gun violence. Sign the pledge with me,” she wrote in January. But the small-arms endorsement wasn’t the first time Kardashian has appeared enamored of guns. Last June, she tweeted a photo of an Yves Saint Laurent engraved pistol with the caption “Bang bang.”
Look, it’s entirely possible that you can own a gun and still be in favor of responsible gun ownership. That being said, guns are not sparkly little accessories. They’re weapons, and regardless of how you use them, they should be treated as such. Also, who could possibly think that giving Kim a gun would be a good idea? It’s Kim Kardashian. With a gun. That cannot possibly end well.
