Kim Kardashian finally agrees not to have herself on TV

Kim Kardashian

For those of you who never thought they would see the day where Kim Kardashian would refuse to air part of her private life on reality television for money and attention: well, congrats on being alive I guess. I reported yesterday that Kim and Kris Humphries‘ divorce could potentially be aired since the footage of it would have been legally deemed public property. But for once, Kim has refused to air her personal business in order to get more attention for herself, which is seriously making me doubt my sanity. Kim not being a rampant famewhore? WHAT IS THIS?! RadarOnline reports:

“A public trial is the last thing that Kim wants, and she has instructed her lawyer to formally petition the court so that the divorce can be heard by a mediator, which is routinely done in California, since it’s a no-fault state,” a source close to the situation tells RadarOnline. “Kim doesn’t want a long drawn out trial. She wants the mediation to be private, confidential, and legally binding. She and Kris have no assets together and kept separate bank accounts, so this is a fairly routine divorce proceeding. Kim just wants this over and done with.”

As I said before, it astounded me that Kim was refusing to put something she does on TV for everyone to see, but now that I think about it, this probably has more to do with the fact that Kim wouldn’t be getting paid for this than anything. Believe me, if someone waved five dollars in her face and asked her to let them air her divorce, Kim would push a baby into oncoming traffic just to get to her money. Do you have any idea how hard and expensive it is to be her?
