hey kids! i just featured kelis on this week’s monday .mp3 and below is the video for the new single blindfold me featuring her real-life hubby nas! ms. kelis is super fierce but after all the talk of beyonce copying people left and right – this video does remind me of ring the alarm (the whole ‘interrogation’ set-up) plus there are a few shots of her in some sort of jungle and there’s a drop of ‘erratic’ dancing…reminiscent of b’s deja vu (which also features her man jay-z) hmmm i wonder what’s up with that? or maybe it’s all just in my head since i’m so tired and about to go to bed shortly…popbytes over & out for tonight – xxoo!

    I really liked this video, way more than anything Beyonce’s put out so far. This MV was really creative because it was about a woman being kidnapped and held hostage but eventually ending up liking it. Each scene after that reflects the feelings that she is experiencing from her kidnapper.
    I don’t really see the resemblence between Kelis & Beyonce like people are saying because Nas actually looks/acts like he appreciates his woman. Happily, he doesn’t have to call her a “bitch” to prove it either. I’m hoping this video hits the top spot on 106 though because it’s so COOL.

    Not a big fan of this song or video, but the Beyonce video comparisons are unwarranted. I don’t see ANY similarities.

    When you are selling an image with the lack of talents I guess your video can suck ass, too “Where are the real musicians and singers will real skills that will last an eternity versus painting fictitious illusions with flesh that divert people minds from the main core which is the music”.
