Keeping Up With The Kardashians

So far today, Justin Bieber finally got arrested for drag racing while inebriated and Patti LaBelle finally said what we were all thinking. What could make today better? Why, news of the Kardashian family’s impending slide into obscurity of course! Turns out, their crappy-ass E! reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, is slowly turning into a ratings bomb as it enters its ninth season … their latest episode brought in the lowest ratings in three years. God bless us, everyone!

The first family of reality television premiered the ninth season of their once-mighty E! show on January 19, but as RadarOnline has learned, the ratings for the network’s cash cow were SIGNIFICANTLY down from the previous season premiere. Indeed, last Sunday’s episode garnered only 2.56 million viewers, down almost half-a-million from the season eight ratings bonanza that premiered on June 2, 2013, pulling in 3.02 million viewers, according to ratings obtained by TV By the Numbers. Is this it? Is this the point where society collectively goes “NOPE! ‘Nuff of this sh!t!” and flips the table of lowered expectations we’ve all been sitting at? Okay, probably not, and come next week we’ll all probably be covering Bieber and the Kardashians again, but for now … for now, I can dream.

UPDATE: We received this info E!’s publicity department …

The first two episodes of season nine of Keeping Up with the Kardashians lead the series’ season eight performance across key adults and women demos – 1.57 Million Adults 18-49, 1.21 MM Women 18-49, 1.08 MM Adults 18-34 and 846,000 Women 18-34.

The season nine premiere episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians on Sunday from 9-10pm was the #1 cable telecast across the entire day in Adults 18-34 and Women 18-34. In its time period across cable, Keeping Up with the Kardashians was the most-watched across-the-board in HHs, Total Viewers, P18-34, W18-34, P18-49, W18-49, beating all other competition.
