good evening y’all! whatever you might think of hollywood’s creepiest couple tom cruise and katie holmes (that whole tom calling her ‘kate’ didn’t last very long) you have to admit they’re looking quite glamorous (and photoshopped) in the holiday ’08 issue of T: the new york times style magazine which will be available with two different covers (his & hers) i love the pictures – a total throwback to old hollywood with ms. holmes doing her best greta garbo – each of ‘em sat down with lynn hirschberg for a little Q+A – there’s two videos (branded as screen tests) posted below – along with two quotes that totally made me roll my eyes (and then i almost threw up when katie mentioned she’d love to do an action film…UGH!) something just doesn’t sit right with me (and pretty much everyone else i talk to) when it comes to tom & his stepford bride – although i adore their daughter suri cruise who is just the cutest hollywood kid right now! (she probably already has a book deal in the works) popbytes over & out for now…xoxo (oh – and all this press is not going to help his new flick valkyrie – it’ll be a bust for sure)
There’s a misperception about me that I just became this wallflower, this woman who doesn’t have any control of her life. That I just became a wife. And that’s pretty wrong. From the very beginning, I’ve made choices in my life that have been very strong. When I met Tom, I was completely in love and, yes, I admired him growing up — he’s Tom Cruise! And, yes, I followed his movies and maybe had his photo up on my wall. I thought, How does he do what he does? And when I met him, he was so warm and I thought, Wow! Did Kate tell you that as a young girl, she had a crush on you? No. I didn’t know that until later. As a young girl, Kate said she dreamed of marrying me. And I said I wouldn’t want to disappoint her. I knew I wanted to marry Kate when I met her. After our very first date, I was sure. So I bought the ring shortly after that first date.
