Ever since the beginning of the year when Kim Kardashian and Kanye West announced that they were expecting, Kanye has gone conspicuously absent and hasn’t really said much about the whole thing. Granted, we’re comparing him to Kim Kardashian, so he could basically spell out “I KNOCKED HER UP” in 100-story high lights and it would still be more low-key than Kim. Anyway, according to RadarOnline, the reason for Kanye’s uncharacteristic silence is that he’s basically been hiding out in Paris so he wouldn’t have to be on Kim’s terrible show.
“Kanye did appear on the show several times before he and Kim hooked up but that was because he was trying to get with her. Now that he has her, Kanye wants nothing to do with the reality shows. He most likely won’t appear at all in the upcoming season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Kanye won’t even let Kim talk to him on the phone while cameras are rolling. Kanye wants to maintain his private life,” the source says. During an interview that Ryan Seacrest did with the Kardashian clan for an E! special Kim revealed that the rapper didn’t have time to appear on the show because of his work schedule, but “always enjoys watching it on television.”
I’m honestly not sure how to take this. On one hand, Kanye hump-and-dumped her, which is extremely uncool. On the other hand, it was either that or help make Kim Kardashian’s TV shows an even bigger societal presence than they already are. Honestly, this is kind of damned if you do, damned if you don’t moment right now. One that he put himself in, but a Sophie’s Choice nonetheless.
