Jodie Foster thinks Mel Gibson is ‘beloved’

Jodie Foster and Mel Gibson

In a desperate attempt to salvage her new movie The Beaver about a misogynistic, alcoholic neo-nazi who can only talk through a beaver puppet, Jodi Foster is defending her star Mel Gibson by claiming that he is the most beloved actor in Hollywood. To which I say: do you even know what “beloved” means? I’ll give you a hint: It doesn’t mean “Jew-hating”.

“I’m not defending his behavior,” she said in a recent interview. “I’m defending the man that I know. And I know he’s kind and loyal and is an incredible professional. He’s probably the most beloved actor of anybody I’ve ever worked with in the film business. And I don’t say that lightly.”

“As I said to him before,” Foster explained, “I don’t mind seeing you in your underwear, but I’m not interested in seeing your underwear against your will. A lot of mistakes that people make, that we’ve all made — which, by the way, I don’t think are as unusual as people might think — aren’t usually played out” on the news. SOURCE

Wait, does she think everyone gets pulled over for drunk driving, spouts tirades of violent, misogynistic, racist, homophobic, anti-semetic bile, and then gets caught demanding blowjobs or else they’ll commit grand arson? Because if so, I’m pretty sure the entire country would be on fire right now. Just putting that out there.
