good evening everyone! i wanted to mention the passing of jack palance at the very ripe age of 87 – he died today of natural causes (totally the way to go if you can swing it…) at his home in montecito CA surrounded by his family – i remember mr. palance best as host of ripley’s believe or not which i just loved as a kid (he had the perfect voice for that show) and who could forget his academy award-winning performance in 91′s city slickers (plus those now classic push-ups at the oscars during his acceptance speech) but before ripley’s or playing cowboy ‘curly’ he had a super long healthy career (i love 53′s shane) and mr. palance was quite the looker back in the day…
today we also lost r&b singer gerald levert who passed away at the young age of forty from a heart attack! gosh that’s a bit scary – i’m only about nine years away from turning the very same age (i’ll be 31 in january) certainly makes you think…you just never know when it’ll be your time to go (these things always come in sets of three – i wonder who is next?) much love going out to both families – popbytes over & out for now…xxoo!
