Jack White is teaming up with Insane Clown Posse

Jack White and Insane Clown Posse

Because Jack White will team up with anyone, and then tell everyone that they’re his sibling or his wife or whatever (hipsters … what’re ya gonna do?), The White Stripes front man is teaming up with Insane Clown Posse to cover Mozart. Sure, why not. Hipsters love irony, right? Right. The Guardian reports:

How better to celebrate the end of the White Stripes than by covering Mozart with two of America’s most ribald rappers? Jack White has announced his strangest collaboration in a career of strange collaborations, teaming up with Insane Clown Posse to sample one of the composer’s lesser-known canons. On 13 September, White’s Third Man Records will release the single Leck mich im Arsch. Yes, the German means what you think. Insane Clown Posse’s juggalo kings, Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J, wisecrack over stately strings and the garage-metal of Nashville band JEFF the Brotherhood. White produced the track (listen to it below).

So basically, Jack White went from playing to pretentious douchebags to inbred hillbillies who throw their own shit? Yeah, I honestly can’t tell which one is worse here. I mean sure, getting hit with human shit is awful, but on the other hand, having angry hipsters give you a review of only 2.7 on Pitchfork? That’s gotta hurt.
