let mel be. he may not like certain types of people but does that make him an evil person? okay so the guy got loaded and unleashed some cruel words. granted he was a bit over the top but who hasnt said harsh words when been under the influence before?

  • KAREN

Wow, what a comment! I had a comment but after reading the one already posted, I have a whole new one!
I will go on record and say that I have not uttered harsh words under the influence. Further more, it’s unfortunate that there are people that can sympathize with Mel. Personally, I have mixed feelings on the whole matter. I don’t think his apology should be dismissed and I also don’t think his apology needs an evaluation. An apology is an apology, just like words are words. And although he’ll have to live with the reality that he did apologize, he’ll also have to live with the reality that he did utter anti-semitic words.
There is something horribly wrong about judging an entire group of perfect strangers. It’s hate for perfect groups of strangers that leads to the holocaust, riots and this last weekend’s shooting at a synagogue in Washington.
I’m sorry, but if you have to question whether or not it’s wrong to hate is a sign of pure ignorance.
Okay, i’m done with the education lesson…popbytes: i agree, enough mel! on to more happier subjects…yay for reality tv! :)

It’s one of those things that people think about and feel when they
are sober and a drink just lets it spill out. Unfortunately he is in
the public eye and will not be forgiven for a long time. Apology or
not it is outhere forever. We all say stupied things one time or another
in a lifetime but this was very stupied and shameful. No one in
this planet can say that one time or another they have been or thought
and just for that moment hated a race whether it be hispanics, Jews
Blacks Asian or other and maybe blurted out such hatred garbage
out of their mouth and then Viola! that look of shame came upon but
let this be a lesson to all racist, bigots that “don’t act on those feelings
and believe that we can figure this out in peace, take a little time and think before you open your mouth in anger. Mel feels bad, please
give him a chance to show all how sorry he really is.

Does anyone on this earth not have some sort of prejudice? I don’t think that I do, but then there are times that a little thought of some sort comes into my head about a certain group of people. I think about it and try to figure out why I thought that way. I always think through these things and realize that feeling a certain way about an entire group of people is ridiculous. Everyone is different. But, some people probably don’t ever try to figure out why they think a certain way about groups of people. Maybe they were brought up that way. Whatever the reason is behind what he said, I believe that people should let this be a learning experience for Mel Gibson instead of saying, oh that’s it we should shun him. Him saying these words does not make him evil, it just means that he is ignorant.

mel make a mistake, so he’s human…the jews should give it a rest already and work with him to clear this up. i myself am sick of all the shit in the middle east – no matter who is to blame. jews – man up and let mel show that he is truly sorry !!

Wise words. As for the other posters: I believe you are the ones in great need of mental counselling! Wow, You’re all a bunch of Saints! I’m flabbergasted! I didn’t know there were still some of that specimen.
Hey Popbytes, if you’re so done with MG, why are you still posting? Seems a real obsession to me! *smirks*

My comment above mentioning “the other posters” went solely to KAREN. Apparently we all are “unfortunate beings” while you there from your althar are showing your superiority, spilling words of intollerance and hate againts we, the “unfortunates” whom have made mistakes, because we the “unfortunates” are human beings… go figure, right?
