UPDATE! i just got home – a little after 11pm – i had a total blast tonight! although ms. ross’ vocals were a drop off – overall for a 64-year-old she did a superb job and ran through a bunch of her famous songs (while managing to pull off four costume changes) highlights included touch me in the morning and theme from mahogany (i heard this was the first time she’s performed at the bowl since 1967!) the crowd was a bit on the mellow side which worked out great since i just wanted to have a chill evening watching ms. ross do her thing while taking us down memory lane – thankfully she performed endless love which she skipped last night for some reason! popbytes over & out for tonight…xxoo
hey kids! tonight i’m walking over to the hollywood bowl (with a little wine to help set the evening off) to finally see the legendary ms. diana ross in her ‘lady supreme’ show – i have early childhood memories of my dear mom playing the supremes – i’ve loved ms. ross practically all my life! below is a video of the divalicious diana with the supremes performing one of their classic tracks baby love back in 1964 (on the UK’s top of the pops) it’s hard to believe she’s still doing her thing almost 45 years later! when i return home later i’ll update this post with some thoughts on her show (plus i’ll try to twitter) popbytes over & out for now…xxoo
