The other night I went to an advance screening of The Five-Year Engagement, the new movie from producer Judd Apatow, lo and behold I was pleasantly surprised by just how much I actually enjoyed it. On the surface, being labeled a romantic comedy it’s really not my type of movie at all, yet I found it to be overall more funny than romantic, I literally laughed during so many scenes (be on the lookout for the Cookie Monster / Elmo bit, that was seriously HYSTERICAL). At first I wasn’t Jason Segel‘s biggest fan, but I keep finding myself liking him more and more (especially after The Muppets, I can’t wait for the sequel), Jason not only stars in fun movies, he also writes ‘em! The gorgeous Emily Blunt was also great, plus the supporting cast including (oddly cute) Chris Pratt and Alison Brie totally added to the laughter. If you’re up for a fun night out at the movies, I would definitely recommend catching this one!
