one more thing…over the weekend club performer and drag queen extraordinaire kevin aviance was severely beaten over the weekend in a gay bashing incident…four guys were arrested with ages ranging from 16-20…he was hospitalized and his jaw is now wired shut but his publicist said He’s going to try to get his strength back so that he can perform (later this month in NYC’s PRIDE celebration) – wishes are going out for kevin to make speedy recovery so he can get back to being one of NYC’s most vibrant & interesting performers! i was so lucky to have seen him in quite a few performances back in my new york days – he is fierce! makes me sad though that crap like this still happens today – even in what is supposed to be one of the most accepting cities in the country!
