There is often a monkey-see-monkey-do approach to fitness, because everybody wants to look good. We want the results. When viewing a sensational piece of man-meat like today’s subject, David Beckham, people want to know how they can get a body like that!
Realistically, most people never will. Wait, what? Yah, shit just got real. I’m not going to sit here and blow a bunch of hot air. Somebody could repeat his exact workout routine and never get the same results. Not everybody can look like David Beckham!
Firstly, Becks has been playing sports his entire life, that’s years and years of epic sports training only the most decorated high school jock could possibly hope to compete with.
Today I want to introduce you to one of the fundamental “rules” of BETTERby30, which is to LOWER YOUR EXPECTATIONS.
Why do you need to look like a pro-footballer anyways, are you coming out with your own sexy calendar in 2011? Most of us never need to be that obsessively ripped. You may get similar results (lean body mass, solid legs), but you, nor me, or anybody else, will ever be David Beckham, except that sexy mofo David Beckham! Lower your expectations.
