Even better than busting your butt at the gym is taking some well deserved time off! Just as you schedule (or should schedule) being active, whether that’s a dance class, taking a hike, going to the gym, walking around the mall (hello, shopping burns calories, only buying burns cash!); you should also schedule time off from your workout routine. A vacation, trip or just a long weekend ‘staycation’ is the perfect time to take a break from your life. So many health and fitness plans forget that your emotional well being is even more important than being thin. Sounds crazy but true!
When you return home and your schedule returns to normal, the residual guilt will force you back to your workout routine. It seems that’s what happened to lusty bear Gerard Butler, as he’s back on the beach but looking better here than he was when MK posted about him on popbytes in January! In just a short month, recommitment can bust a beer belly.

This week I suggest considering your mental health. Don’t be afraid to take a little break. Try delicious things! Get drunk! Kiss a stranger! Be in a happy place, and your body will thank you.
