CeeLo Green’s TBS reality show, The Good Life, has been canceled, sources confirm to EW. The news comes shortly after the former The Voice coach came under fire for a series of offensive tweets about rape, in which he argued that women must be conscious to “really” be raped. Green pleaded no contest Friday to a felony charge that he furnished ecstasy to a woman in 2012. A network insider said the show was canceled was due to poor ratings. Before news of the cancellation came out, however, a petition from women’s rights group UltraViolet had called for TBS to get rid of the show in light of Green’s tweets.
I pray I shouldn’t have to clarify this for anyone, but if someone is passed out, and someone else were to use that as an opportunity to force themselves upon that person, it actually would count as rape. As in, the legal definition according to the Department of Justice. Once again, I shouldn’t have to clarify this, but if someone isn’t conscious, and therefore unable to give consent at the time, that’s rape. I don’t know how else to describe this.
