As far as celeb fashion collaborations go, you can’t get much bigger than Britney Spears designing her own capsule collection, it totally beats seeing her smoking crack on the kerb or being stretchered out of her house – even if her commentary on the pieces is about as extensive as, “Yes! Very metal, let’s go out. Type. Vibe”. B*tch is deep. Having said that the Candies collection is pretty cute and so is the advert featuring Piece of Me remixed. In other news, the question on every fashionista’s lips has been, Who is Jo Calderone? Stylist Nicola Formichetti and iconic photographer Nick Knight started leaking images on SHOWstudio.com of (what has still not been confirmed, but pretty much everyone knows) Lady Gaga dressed and made-up as a boy in a shoot for Vogue Hommes Japan. In case you hadn’t worked it out yet, Jo Calderone is an anagram for Gaga’s latest hit, Alejandro. |  |
Other FASHIONBYTES worth noting definitely include Taylor Momsen rocking transparent Lucite heels with a one dollar tip inside – doesn’t really beat carrying a flick knife, but we like it nonetheless. Also, images of Lagerfeld‘s Fall 2010 campaign starring the delicious Jon Kortajarena just hit, go and watch A Single Man, if you haven’t already! Finally if you want to keep up to date with the Material Girl fashion collection, Queen Madge‘s spawn Lourdes Leon has started a blog on materialgirlcollection.com. Her content is about as deep as Brit Brit’s, my favourite quote being, “My favvvv color is black (just because it goes with everything) and my least favorite color is brown (because it resembles the color of something QUITE gross)” … and cut.
