This week has lent itself to unparalleled levels of couture pop, first and foremost with Lady Gaga‘s epic appearances in the flesh and on the cover of every magazine that she could possibly shoot within the space of the Born This Way promo period. However, and MUCH more importantly, this week saw the release of Beyoncé‘s Run The World (Girls) music video. The levels of designers featured were off the chain. Literally. Alexander McQueen’s Fall 10 collection, Givenchy Haute Couture SS11, Jean Paul Gaultier SS11, Laruicci knuckle rings, Gareth Pugh‘s metallic dress and shoes and the incredible yellow piece from Pucci. Did I mention that it was off the chain? Coupled with the choreography, the return of Queen B is a force to be reckoned with.
In other news … and yes, it is Gaga related … if teaming up with Starbucks, Metro and Farmville wasn’t enough for the launch of the album (which is amazing by the way), Gaga is selling off her wares over at GILT.com. Curated by Nicola Formichetti, the shop even features a one-of-a-kind Mugler dress worn by Gaga at the Mugler fashion show in Paris.
