A few weeks ago I saw Scottish singer and songwriter Emeli Sandé do an intimate performance as she geared up for the US release of her pitch-perfect debut album Our Version of Events (already a huge hit across the pond). I didn’t know all that much about Ms. Sande but I had heard that I would totally dig her, that turned out to be completely true. Her live vocals gave me a serious case of the chills and goosebumps, when she started to sing, my mouth literally dropped open, she blew me away! Since then, I’ve been listening to the album a lot, it’s completely fantastic and it’s finally out today (iTunes / Amazon), via Capitol Records. Below is the music video for her first official US single called Next To Me, I can’t recommend checking Emeli out enough, yet stay tuned, I have a giveaway coming up to celebrate the release!
